There are several other fixed-art comics, however only one has managed to keep up a steady update schedule, the first and greatest fixed-art comic, and a huge influence on Samwise, Daily Dinosaur Comics.

The other fixed-art comics are (in the order I discovered them) The Angriest Rice Cooker in the World, Indie Tits, The Adventures of Brigadier General John Stark, and Birdsworth, discovered after the first 54 comics had been written. As a result, any similarities in opening plotlines is a complete coincidence.
